    Fork air bleeding valves

Having sorted out my weeping right fork, (unbelievably by myself), was wondering if anyone has used these, in anger? Surely they must be better than undoing the little screw at the top of each fork? Living in warmer climes, where temperatures rise quite abit in the summer months, I find myself undoing them each time I come home. Anyone have them and your thoughts?

I honestly would not bother with the bleeders , from what I understand they just do what you do with a screwdriver but cost a fortune.

They also look a bit vulnerable when they are fitted , look like the could easily be broken off.

Just my oar getting stuck in !!!!
    2011 Triumph Tiger 800 - "Black Pussy" - MMMM Nice !!!
    2000 Suzuki DRZ400S - "Ol' Yella" - very bright
    2011 Peugeot V-Clic 50cc - "Scoot" - It's my wife's, an enjoyable ride.

    I have a house , but I can't guarantee it's safe !!

Got them fitted to my 450EXC.There always seems to be air buildup after a ride,be it an enduro of just a gentle ride around the local lanes. As I have extra spacers under the bars it brings up the clearance so as not to damage the little bleeders...so to speak.

Just fitted some( RFX type) I got months ago and am off on a trip tomorrow, will see how they go. I run a PHDS(dampening system) on my handlebars, so they don't seem to interfere with steering, even being quite tall.

    Re: Fork air bleeding valves

Just back from a 2 day trip to Mindanao, (report in trips section, later), weather was very hot, with alot of twisties, straights, hard braking, tight corners, pure magic on the KTM. After 130kms, we stopped for a break, I pressed the valves and you could definitely hear the air release hiss! Now, I activate them before and after a ride, I'm not altogether sure it improves the handling, but they sure as h*ll have stopped the weeping around the fork seals!

I have them on all of my bike, very good idea and only ever snapped one in 6-7 years (that was the least of my problems), particularly good when strapping bike down in the van or pickup.
