Well, I love my 990 S, no two ways about it. As for the jerky throttle, I've never experienced that so far. However, I did get a G2 TCS fitted prior to getting the bike. As for the fuel injection........sometimes, you just need to let the hooligan inside you, out occasionally!
(I do feel the gel seat needs some improvement though!)

Re seats and height, the Tourateck low one has the gel seat insert BUT you will still get the numb bum thing after 100 miles.
I cut out the foam and cut in some gel i have had for a few years, then got it re covered by a local upholster, for £20.00, works for me and i am 5'8''.

have you any Pics of the seat? How much foam did you cut? I could loose a few inches off mine for sure. I'm fed up wearing the Mrs stilletos to to touch the ground.

i will post some pics later, but what i did was to take off all the foam from the seat frame, i then cut back the plastic "grid" that is under the foam BUT only in the area i wanted it to be lower. I then sat onto the seat and Mrs SPG marked around my shape with a marker pen !
Out with the electric bread knife and an electric drill with a sanding disc on it, half an hour later i looked like a flour grader BUT the seat was the shape i wanted PLUS i could reach the ground !!! I then cut out the shape of the gel pad i had and inserted it into the recess .
£20.00 later and the cover was re streached and all is well.

My next item to boost my confidence is a set of 19/17 rims from Woodys in the states, this lowers the bike again but also gives me a greater selection of road rubber to use.
They should be with me early part of Nov, so will post pics when they are here.
