In need of better brake pads

My last set of EBC pads only managed 5,500 miles. Can anyone recommend a better option for my KTM Adventure 950?

Re: In need of better brake pads

after reading the general concensus of opinion on here then i recommend anything compared to ebc brake pads / discs. seem to have a nasty habit of breaking up in the calipers .........you dont want that !! plus stopping power seems total sh*te anyway.
as i dont own a ktm my best recommendation would be stick with ktm originals ( if they are any good ? ) most honda owners here tend to replace brake parts with genuine honda bits.........not worth trying to save a couple of quid when tinkering with a vital bit of kit............dont all shout !!

Hmm, good point. I haven't actually checked what brake pads I need, will probably go with the dealer's recommendation, due for the 7500km service very soon.

Re: In need of better brake pads

After a bit of web trawling I have decided to give the Ferodo Platinum pads a go. I'll throw them on tomorrow and update you in 5,500 miles time. That should be in about 2 months time with the amount of miles I'm crunching at the moment.

Question Re: In need of better brake pads

I use the Ferodo pads on my other bikes and enjoy the better braking. But a set of pads within 5.5k miles is not too good. The pads arn't dragging on the discs are they??
