In search of 7th gear!
Yep, put the new battery in this morning, and she started without a problem. Rode her to work without a hitch.
All I need to do now is wait & see if she'll start when the time comes to go home, and all will be fine!
Many thanks for all the tips and help from the forum, I hope that's the last of the electrical gremlins!

The better question is, can you start a shoddy drive shaft with jump leads
Of course Vader's bike will last longer, he's stealthily replacing all the original parts. I wonder if it still has the same frame number?
