    Changing my rear (rim).

Have had enough of no 18" tyres in stock over here, sent my rear wheel up to the dealers in Manila, to change the rim to a 17" and re-spoke the bar-steward. At least I can use the same tyres as my Africa Twin and have a greater choice of what I want to put on it. Anyone else done this? (Am intending to put on a new Metzler Tourance EXP, in place of the Scorpion, any dealings with this tyre?)

    hi there
From reports the "new Tourance exp" are not a sgood as the old tourance- similar to the new anakee`s.

loads reports on the BMW forums about them I`ve got the old style tourance and cant fault them front and rear.

sure it was somet to do with the compound etc

Got the rear tyre back last week, fitted with a new "old style" Tourance, unbelievable handling compared to my ex-"squared off" Scorpian! Excellent IMHO.
