I know Ktm have devoted riders but people who aren't devoted seem to be buying other stuff now i guess people are starting to get fed up with finicky reliability and stupid service schedules another friend of mine bought a brand new KTM exc200 just before xmas that says it requires new rings every 12 hours you'd spend more time pulling apart than you would riding it

one of the guys here has an 09 525 (i think) was told it needed a check of the rings and piston and this and that at 60hr, got it done buy the shop, Daryl Bolters mechanic (KTM team Mechanic) on sunday said its all money and would be good till 120hrs at least with out been checked, makes you wounder how much money they make from jobs that they know dont really need doing.

Spoke to the dealer about it and he said nearly all the Gasgas mx / enduro bikes do it. Apparently the type of carb they fit just pumps it in and when your using the powervalve it drinks it. Then when you back off the powervalve it floods a bit and drains out the overflow pipe. As i'm not in the powervalve a huge amount i haven't bothered to do anything about it. I did have some spare jets when i bought the bike and 3 needle valves with different profiles that i could play with but can't really be bothered as the bike goes faultlessly and i'm happy with it. Dealer also told me they all come into the country jetted incorrectly so get corrected at this end which may explain the couple of spare jets i have
