    Todays moto-x

Well today was the first Moto-x for "The Cornwall Moto Cross Club". The club disbanded for some reason around 14 years ago although all the other local bike clubs still run moto-x comps.....

You have to support local clubs so me and a mate entered in sportsman class, to many top quality riders to enter in anything else....

The day wAS cold low temps of 3-4 degrees with a very icy wind chill factor....

Please don't think i'm trying to bore you with photo's BUT i took the wife as my official photographer and she took in excess off 500 photo's so trying to separate good photo from really good one could taker a while so i just uploaded a few

All i do with mine is soak it in parafin to get all the oil and crap out of it then wash it in soapy water leave it to dry over night then oil it. I use the bel-ray filter oil as it's a really dark blue and you can see where you've put it and it's rwally tacky

    Pro-clean do a 5ltr filter cleaning fluid but it's about £20 i think whereas 5ltr parafin £3.85

Has yours got the mapping switch on it???

My mate had a ec300 newish one with the switch and said the same thing but he's just changed it for a brand new ec300 and recons the switch makes a hell of a difference, mine hasn't got it great bikes.

Each meet i go to there seems to be fewer KTM's and more Gasgas bikes appearing

They do a lovely looking 6 days 300 saw it at a dealers the other day it was being discounted for the new models to arrive, they are definatly on the up. The 300 has a lot more bottom end power than the 250 but is tamer and more docile to ride, there's not such a big kick up the ass when the power valve cuts in and it lifts the front effortlessly at just about any rpm. My mate has a standard 300 and he was atrials rider, very good rider but the bike makes him look even better the way it handles and responds

The best mod i made to mine was to cut the rear wiring loom to the rear lights and extend it 18inches. Everytime i wanted to take the rear lights off i had to take the seat and side panel off so i could get to the outside of the air box to unclip it. I soldered the wires in and now the connecton block os mounted on the rear subframe, makes life that bit quicker and easier

I was marshaling for an enduro on Sun 7th in Bordon and i have to say it was all Yamaha's or GasGas's, not meny ktm's apart from Daryl Bolter on his KTM, (god he was fast) who stood out from the rest, and 1 XR 400.

Had a good day following on my Little Beta bloody helped on the sandy parts but its got me wanting an Enduro now.
