    Exploration forum?

Yesterday I traded my Dominator in against a 2004 Tiger 955i.

I'd like to say thank you to everyone on the forum for useful advice and friendly company.

Part of the reason for buying the Tiger is to do some European, Scandanavian and, potentially north African trips, mainly camping.

The UKGSer forum is littered with people doing similar things, but does anyone know if there's a forum about travelling that's not linked to a specific model or manufacturer?

Now, a bit of a plug. I have a holiday home in Normandy (www.la-basse-cour.co.uk). Now I have a bike more capable of making the trip there and back for a long weekend (I tried it on the Dominator - once), I'm going to try and organise one or two trips there.

I'm happy to lead a convoy or for everyone to make their own way there. I have loads of undercover parking (hard concrete floor) and three double bedroom and one room with twin beds in it.

It'll be self-catering, but there's a big kitchen and tons to see and do in the area.

Anyone interested in this kind of thing?

Yes, sounds great. Maybe next summer.

    Is five acres enough?

There's easily enough room for half-a-dozen tents in what was a small orchard and there's a five acre field out the back if we run out of room.

I'll start planning the first trip!

I would be interested too! My brother lives in France and I could do with undertaking a big trip around France.

    Re: Exploration forum?

I'm ill at home at the moment, laid up with mild man-flu. I've decided to clear up all my XRV thread subscriptions. Isn't it funny what you turn up.

Since the first post on this thread, I've been to Normandy half-a-dozen times with fellow XRVers, have been to Dartmoor and Wales for organised XRV weekends, have been on a week-long tour of France with XRVers, been to a Horizons Unlimited camp, oh and bought an RD04.

Thank you lads and ladies for the last couple of years!
