    Re: Strata Florida

I got lost here last year on my varadero - rode past the abbey thinking the road stays tarmaced all the way to abergwesyn only to find out that the tarmac stopped not fara away - being a pratt I decided to keep on going...2 hours later I finally got of the tracks and ended up in Tregaron(I think?).
Luckily it was summer and the tracks were dry but some of those ruts are rather deep

Being lost is half the fun!!

The ruts are from V8 Land Rovers.... not KTM's on full chat

    Re: Strata Florida

AAHHH how I remember Strata Florida, actually I still can, rode that quite a few years ago, mega hot day poor old XR250R was feeling it abit, anyway off we went through the numerous river crossings and back to the farm with the long name that all TRF members used.
Anyway the next I get on the bike and start up and I had oil weeping from my oil filter housing, (put it down to the metal warping due to the extremes of temperature ie red hot the being plunged into icy water continuosly for about an hour).
Still to this day my oil filter housing weeps oil, mind you it sure as hell makes sure I check my level often.

Fab, really gives an idea of what the trail is like. Must try it when we next have a drought
