Cheers Bob, wondered where that was. I was a follower that day, prefer to lead as I know where I've been.

Not long after that pic was taken I walked into a bramble/thorn wossname and cut my eye open, claret everywhere. I was having to ride with my head tilted to stop it running into my eye and glueing my contact lense in forever. By the time I was heading home that night I had the biggest black eye you'd ever seen.

I'm still finding sand and gravel under my seat from riding through this one on my 650Alp.

To save clogging this up and cos I can't find the same post on here these are some posted on another forum by me (don't be confused by the different user name, I'm called bayonet by some people because of a mechanicking incident with a DR440 and a pencil)

There appears to be a ford off Stoneham Lane Just outside Eastleigh/Southampton but not sure where it goes?
Its next to the pub if that helps?
Marked it with a A marker.

Not a ford as such but it was certainly wet riding

How about adding your own experiences of fords here?

I've never come accross a ford as such, but found myself in a flooded section of a main road along a reservior.......scared the poop from me, i was gonna try to stand but then realised the water came over the pegs so regardless my feet were gonna get it!
Funny thing is i chose to avoid the usual motorway commute simply cos of the rush hour and the thunder storm style rains.
it was a learning curve !

    Re: Wet Roads: Fords

We've got dozens of fords around here. Most of the time most of them are either dry or just have a trickle of water.

I did manage to get through one once in my Freelander where the bow wave came over the bonnet. That came as a bit of a shock, as it's normally about a foot deep.

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
