I'd be interested in finding out what area's the maps cover - then maybe picking a couple that interest me!

Is it all northern highlands stuff or is there anything slightly further south? I'm in Perth and just wondered if there's anything a bit nearer.
    Cheers

    Re: off road in scotland

Can anyone clear up who, if anyone, needs to be contacted to go off-road legally up here in Scotland. I hear an awful lot about no trespass law here, but I also hear an awful lot about people being shot by high power rifles and turned into Haggis! I'd love to do the green laning but not so keen on being served up with a side of tatties!

    Re: off road in scotland

There is no trespass law to worry about north of the border . . .BUT . . .this only applies to walkers, cyclists and horse riders.

If your machines' got an engine then your not legally allowed off of the tarred surfaces. If you can obtain a landowners permission (ye, right, like thats going to happen), then you can roll around where ever that permission allows.

The forestry commission are big on keeping MCers out of their (really our) forests, and aren't slow in bringing prosecution when people are caught.

All us up here that find ourselves on this sort of land, by mistake of course , do so with the above knowledge niggling yer cranium for the duration of the ride.

    Still good fun though

    Steve,

Thats the most coherant answer I've ever got on that question. Thanks. I can't imagine I'll be getting permission unless I manage to attract the attention of a wealthy landowners daughter........um..........I wonder...........
