Off road riding in the Glasgow area

Im new to all this and just recently passed my test, so hi all, ive been riding out to the country side and finding myself quiet woods to potter about in but really want a nice long route or track to ride, i know there is no greenlanes about this area but if anyone local has any info on places to go and try out that would be brilliant.

I'm in a very similar position. I'm out in Helensburgh but have not had any luck so far finding places to ride legally.

Don't know if there's many places where you can legally go on a beach. Apparently though a lot of folk go to Machrihanish near Campbeltown and speak highly of it. I'm in Perth though so I'm the other side of the country and I've not done my full test yet so it would be an awfy trek on my XR-125.

    Thread here talking about beaches.
