    yorkshire dales

just being up in the yorkshire dales today and had a totally brilliant ride going from skipton up through malham

    ,arncliffe (a nice little village)

    , ketlewell, deepdale, hawes

then a quick dash down to settle. had a two hour break in settle! WAITING FOR MR AA due to a flat tyre

, they promised someone would be with me in one hour when no one turned up i rang them back they then said someone was on route to me, 30 mins later no-one had turned up so i rang them again and told them what crap service i was getting when the man from the aa put the phone down on me. i have lost faith in the aa and am looking for a new break down company. all in all it tuck me 4 hours to get home (a 1 hour journey).

I hear that the sports bike riders are spoiling the area. Also the rAC are just as bad. Wire crash barriers the bane of motorcyclists.

The Dales are a loverly part of the Country, [even in a car ]

    Punctures

Never leave home without one of these since my last front wheel decided to go flat in the middle of nowhere

Works a treat and you can safely get to a destination to sort out the tyre. I did actually ride another 2000 miles out of the tyre before replacing it anyway

I used it when I had a puncture in the middle of Wales a while ago. Without it the tyre deflated in a matter of minutes. With the TyreWeld it held up fine for the 25 miles it took to find a dealer who could fit a new tube.

I'm using UltraSeal in the tubes at the moment but, as far as
I know, it hasn't been put to the test yet.

I've been with Britania Rescue for 15 years and they usually get to me within 45 minutes. Once the bloke was waiting by the bike before I'd got back from a phone box th ring them. He told me off for not waiting by the bike.

0990 636 237. If you join tell them that I gave you the number and they'll give me 5 quid of my renewal. If all hundred odd of you join I will probably get a seat on the board of directors.

Why dont they put tyrelevers in the tool kit any more
I use a set that came with an old BMW/7 and always carry a tube and a push bike pump (A front tube can be made to go in the rear)
There was a craze a few years back for tubes that you could fit without taking the wheel out. anybody know if these are still around?
will make life easyer if no center stand.
