I've just ordered a Marushin too....opted for the Silver (of all things)

Quite a departure for me, I've always had dark grey or black lids.

Fed up with super noisy, cr*p in the wet, steamy uppy in the Winter Roof Boxer, and wanted to fit my TomTom and PMR headsets into a nice new (hopefully much quieter) home.

£116 delivered including a black and a clear visor from www.riderz.co.uk ...or ebay.

My problem is ordering something like this on-line and not getting to try it first. Phoenix did that with another lid before and ended up buying a second one from them to get the right size. Doh!

Does the price go up with the size of the helmet?


I DO need a new helmet and like the big visor but tell me, doesn't it catch the wind on the motorway? Thought yuo'd get whiplash with the right gust.

Yup chad, I think you've knocked the nail on the head ( no pun intended )
Arai are reknown for their durability and I guess you only get 1 head.

Just to clarify something Marushin has been making helmets since the 50's so not someone who came by overnight pressing lids out on the fly. The have all the safety stickers and approval required as well and being a fibreglass lid can't go wrong even at the cheap price.

I also value my head and can honestly say compared to past AGV's system V this one certainly fits the best and feels secure.
