Wodzster,
Correct me if I'm wrong here , but I believe the tour x has a "double curvature" visor ????
If that is trully the case getting a fogcity to stay on that is a big problem.
Another problem with some helmets is that the visor bends to a different radius (slightly) when you flip it up and down. Fog citys get detached under that sort of application.

Don't misunderstand my previous post - I am a fan of Fog Citys and all the other "double glazing" type anti mist devices - pinlock etc. I would never buy a helmet that cannot be adapted in this way.
My favoured system is the pinlock type visors as used on Shoei and Nolan brands.

The new Tour X comes with a pinlock system Visor for which a Fog City type insert is now available. The guy on the Arai Service Stand at the NEC told me that the new Visors will fit the older style helmets.
Unfortunately that means splashing out for a new visor as well as the insert though.
And they aint cheap !! I was fleeced for £25 for a new Nolan visor and £17 for the pinlock insert.
However you can retrofit a pinlock insert on to any visor , but it involves drilling two small holes ( about 1-2mm) in you visor !!!!!!
I find that HG are very good for advice in these matters.

Would the Fog City designed for Simpson Bandits etc. fit? It has a cutaway along the bottom to match that sort of visor shape...
Picture from racevisors.co.uk (I've bought Arai visors from them; £35 incl. UK delivery seems a pretty good price).
I've used fog city inserts in double curvature visors (standard Arai visors; though they also make a flat visor for racing, so tear offs can be used) and they've been fine. I suppose it depends on the amount of curvature?
Trouble with pinlock is that it's easy to get water behind the insert when washing the visor. If you're not in a hurry it's fine as the insert comes off, you can give is all a good clean and leave it to dry. If you're on the road it's a PITA![]()
Fog City gives a proper seal onto the visor, so you can wash the visor easily, which makes it far less hassle - unless it's separated from the visor slightly and water gets in, and then there's no way to dry it out; you can't reuse the insert when you peel it off, you have to fit a new one![]()
flat out on utterly inappropriate tackle
The other option is to clean the inside of the visor with RainX or the wax polish. I have this helmet and provided I coat the inside of the visor regularly it stays fog free. This option is not as good as the Pinlock system I have on my other helmets but works and you don't get the multiple halo images at night or when riding in the dark.
