Send it back to Arai - Phoenix distribution, they will check the lid & tell you if the shell is safe to reuse, they will repair/replace broken bits for & I believe they will touch up paint if requested.
These guys are true experts and only charge for the parts used.
You can also find an Arai service tent at some larger bike shows like the BMF Peterborough.
Visiting a service department will mean they will also check the lid for fit and perfect it, again for free.
Basically with an Arai you get a free lifetime guarantee
My own lid, a Quantum F is 9 years old, bought in Japan & is 3rd hand (to me), no hastles, they checked it over, gave the previous damage a clean bill of health, added a little foam to the cheek pads, fitted a fog city insert, lubed the visor seal, checked the visor mechanism, looked at the date on the chin strap said it's getting on a bit but should be good for another 3 or 4 years!
All for the cost of the visor insert.
Oh, and if I sent it back to Phoenix distribution they'd touch up the paint and tidy the chin strap where the webbing is starting to go fluffy!
All this with a full, friendly explanation of what they were doing & why.
