Tour X or Hornet ?

Hi All,
Tried on the Shoei Hornet and the Arai Tour X yesterday, both fitted well and felt comfi, so which one do i buy ?, price is about the same, any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Unless you`ve got a particularly deformed head it`s unusual for a Shoei to fit the same head as well as an Arai does (and vice versa of course),so I`d suggest trying them both again and doing a proper check of the security of fit........fasten the chinstrap and try to lever the helmets off by pushing up from the rear....and also try a few rapid glances from side to side to see if one is a tad loose at the temples.


Mind you,regardless of fit or price I wouldn`t consider the Tour X simply because of the CharlEewok wannabe connotations.

I have just bought the Hornet and I am a bit disapointed with it. At about 70 mph the peek makes a vibrating noise. Not sure if it is just my helmet so I am going to take it back to the shop this week for it to be checked out. However the anti-fog works really well, I just spent the weekend in Scotland with the Irish Crew, the weather was very wet but it never misted up.

Why not have a look at the HJC CL-XS. Looks similar to both your choices but ALOT cheaper
