very pleased with my new Arai tour-x

Had my first ride into work on my (new to me) TA and my newly purchased AraiTour X helmet.

What a difference, I'd replaced my 'past its best' Arai quantum and the difference is incredible. Even with a fog city insert the quantum misted up constantly.

The tour x (with pin lock) doesn't mist up at all,

and is so warm compared to my old quantum - mainly because the lining in the old 'un had compressed so much over time - when I moved my head for a lifesaver my ear got a blast of wind,

As someone who's always said buy the best lid you can afford it's only on changing my lid have I realsied that I should have changed it a loooong time ago....

plus (IMHO) it looks damn cool in sparkly black !!

Hiya Doc - Ah, I need a nice new hat since my mishap in the moors... what did you pay?
RD07a, reg in 2001, Black, heated grips, short screen, Scottoiler, Givi top box and panniers, DataTag, full Riky Cross crash bars, Baglux tank cover, Facet pump, mostly 200 miles to reserve and presently a lot happier since being loved up at Chad's hospital for sick ATs!

They are very good .. I have one myself.

One problem I can point out though....

If you use goggles on them (like they claim you can do), they dont work properly unless you remove the visor..

The visor slides down and tangles up and your goggle strap wont sit properly either.
