    flip front helmets

Hi all, The wife suggested buying me a flip front for my b'day, but i haven't read too many good reviews of any of these, I don't want her spending a fortune either, I like the idea of the internal sun visors.
Has anyone here got any experience of the Nitro, Caberg, Lazer, Held, or others around the £100 mark?
    Thanks.

I quite like my Caberg J1 plus or the 3 i have, makes it easier when wearing glasses, do tend to steam up a bit but keep the visor open one notch helps

I had the Justissimo from Caberg and gave it back and traded up to a Shoei Multitec
The Caberg was too loud, nice fitting and comfy I just found it deafening after a few hours and dont like wearing earplugs

i lived with a HJC symax for a few years and had no problems with it, i got it for only £50 too. the new one has a redesigned aerodynamic shell and an internal sun visor but i dont know how much they are.

i currently use a shark evoline that is pretty good but it was £260, you can legally ride with the chinbar up but the visor mechanism is pants

Had a caberg justissimo - OK apart from being a little noisey. The flip up bit broke off when I had an off on Salisbury plain at 10 mph. Now own a Schuberth C2 - expensive, but less wind noise and can get a flow of air around sides of visor - good when hot. The justissimo has a very handy inner dark visor.

Snap and Francis got it spot on so i wont repeat...

palerider has a Nolan and he likes it and i must admit i like the looks of it and had i not bought a multitec cheap off ukgser i would have snapped Yetis hand off, thats the guy selling a Nolan on here right now for £130 and they retail out at over £200.

    As New Nolan N103 (white)

Brilliant deal if you ask me and like previously said i would have it in a heartbeat had i not recently got the multitec (which is a nice helmet btw)

****e the lot of them. I went back to full-face despite wearing glasses.
There's an almost unused Schuberth C2 in the garage if you want it.

I have had the Noland flip up and now use the Schubert c2, the second is a fantastic helmet and quiet but bloody expensive and is bigger than most helmets and does not fit in most single helmet top boxes.

    Re: flip front helmets

On my 2nd Nolan flip front - yes they are heavier & generally noisier than fixed full face, but the convienience element of a flip front is worth it IMHO
Dont know what they cost nowadays, what with Blue tooth thingymajigs attached and all that stuff, but I picked my last one up for £125 3 years ago as it had been replaced by a newer model.

    Just my ramblings . . . . .
