    Bluetooth Helmets

    Hi All,

Looking for some guidance on Helmets, my better half requires a new helmet and she has hinted that maybe we should buy a pair that are linked via bluetooth, i've allways dismissed talk of intercoms cos of the cables but she has seen an advert on the box, for a pension company i think, where the couple are talking with no wires, any help would be much appreciated.

You could buy a Cardio Scala setup, and use your existing helmets.
You could buy the Nolan Helmets and Bluetooth setup.

    Re: Bluetooth Helmets

    Question 1.

If you and your passenger both have bluetooth headsets do you need anything else to communicate or do the bluetooth units receive and transmit to each other?

    Question 2.

If so, does it also work bike to bike or is the range very limited?

    Answer to Q1 is NO

Answer to Q2 is they are limited range similar to the ones on a mobile phone

    Re: Bluetooth Helmets

Well, I tried on a couple of those Viper helmets with the bluetooth, they're pretty poor quality helmets but at £150 each pretty cheap. I didn't try the bluetooth as the batteries weren't fitted. But due to the cheap feel of the helmet I'm going to go down the Schuberth road. I reckon the Schuberth being so quiet it'll make using an intercom far better.
I've used a wired Nady intercom for over 10yrs and found it excellent. My mate Andy says the Scala bluetooth is very good, but at over £100 a helmet I'll wait till my Nady packs in, saying that, I'm so greedy I'll probably just buy another Nady!

I have just fitted the Autocom kit into a Shoei Helmet and the difference is staggering. it beats all the other helmet combos I have used.
