    Re: Rear view Helmet

If you are following behind someone who is wearing one of these, do you see a massive pair of eyeballs looking back at you

I wonder when they'll get around to doing a Dual Purpose version...

    Right.

I've tested this only at night. Daytime test awaits.

Well I started with an absolutely splitting headache so was not best pleased that the helmet is very close fitting. I'm used to the space of an Arai Tour-X and a Schlumberger C2. Consequently I had to remember to open the visor before stopping else instant glasses fog... Mind you, it was very quiet and warm.

The viewing mirror if you have it where it's shown on the publicity material will give you a migraine as you have to look up so much, but you can adjust it down to a sensible position. Mine seems to be biased towards the right eye and as the mirror is so close you are never going to get a very good stereoscopic image. I was able to read the headline of a newspaper on a cabby's dashboard behind me at a traffic light, mind...

But truth be told, for an Alp rider I will take some persuading that it has a purpose.

    HOWEVER!

I went out on the Pan and it made more sense. The mirrors on the Alp are just so good that they give a better idea of what is going on than the helmet. On the Pan though I could see things I can't otherwise see.

So I tried the ZZR. Well I shouldn't be stopped by the police again, at least, not from behind. Despite the different sitting position, it did work.

All in all, not a bad start...
