    Question Flip Lid Helmets.

Im looking at the Caberg Justisimo Nolan 103 AGV Longway and the Shoei Multitec that i cant really afford! Anybody got some advice on flip lids before i part with my hard earned cash. Looked at so many reviews and now well and truly confused...

Cabrera Justissimo, ok for the price, could get it on and off without having to remove my glasses but I found it to be noisy and fogged up easily.

Schuberth C3, well what can I say, light, quiet, fits my noggin just fine don't need to take my glasses off, pinlock. Well worth the money I paid but I did get it at a good price at the NEC.

i used to use an AGV longway and the missus has a multitec. there is no comparison in the build quality. the sharp website reports the longway as having the same safety rating as the shoei so safety should be fine, but definitely in terms of comfort there is no comparing the shoei to the agv.....

had the Caberg ok ish , but and your going to hate me for this , the Shoei multitech is by far and away the best lid ive ever worn it never mists up even in the worst conditions and is super comfy and quiet

you really do get what you pay for , go try one on then buy it from someplace like helmet city

I tried the Nolan 103 and did not get on with it. Noisy, drafty and just did not fit my head. I put it on in the shop for about 10 min and it was ok but soon as I went on the road the extra wind pressure gave me incredible headaches
They call him the "quiet one "

    Re: Flip Lid Helmets.

i've 4 flip-ups, the justissimo (feels cheapish), an hjc max (good), the carberg trip (good, but?), and viper rs121. All good fitment, but the viper wins. Feels better, better build, more comfortable on long trips & the built-in sun visor is instant after a couple of days. Big plus.... built in bluetooth for zumo 660 satnav.... down side...i can hear the lady sat behind me. Given the choice again.... would have gone for the shoei multitech!!!!!! don't think you'll regret it..... unless you see the new version with built-in visor: Shoei Neotec Flip Front. available March.

    Re: Flip Lid Helmets.

First thing is to find the helmet that fits correctly and comfortably.
Not everyones head is the same shape so what suits one may not another.
Now go the extreme limit of what you can afford and look in that price range.
if the helmet is slightly noisy get earplugs.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Too right,

I originally wanted the Multitech but it just didn't fit right which is why I ended up with a C3

    Re: Flip Lid Helmets.

It of course depends on your head shape, but I had a multi tech when I lived in Spain (and spent a lot of time in the UK too) and it was really good in all weathers.
