    thekeyman

l am a locksmith from London who has a '06 650. The only mods are cutting 3inchs off the handlebars so it fits in my bike shed ( built in 1953, shed not bike) , yes l know its sacrilage but it has to be done. l also drilled a hole in the carrier to fit a top box l had laying around, yes l know its sacrilage but you cannot see the hole with it on!!. l use the bike for everything, including lugging tools and collecting locks which weigh a ton. l don't wrap my bikes in cotton wool. Nor do l ever clean it, honest , l just keep spraying it with WD40. l do change the oil twice a year though, Halfords cheapist, like l say no cotton wool. good bike but too tall for me, looking at BMW F650 with 765mm seat height when l make a few bob.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Welcome keyman, enjoy the site and your bike, clean or dirty it matters not, just be careful if Raven says anything about pannier keys, you could be in for a job
