Hello and welcome,
Having recently bought an AT to go along with my ever growing collection of motorcycles I thought I would join your band of worldly travellers and hopefully share and glean useful information on your exploits with the AT.
Having recently come back from a fantatistic european tour covering many countries such as Poland, Ukraine, meeting up with the Varadero International ralley in Hungary I hungered for more. So it was out with the map and North Africa was just begging for some exploration and what better than an AT to do this. Having read through some of your excellent threads on what to fit, what to replace and where to go my AT is now fitted with Tour Tech carriers, ARD cases (excellent value for money and if you ride down to cambridge they fit for free saves you the drilling and worry, well recomended). E-bay bidding produced a Remus Revolution end can and link pipe for £150 a real bargin and nice sound even with the removable baffle fitted. Heated grips were a must as was a new regulator/rectifier and fuel pump as the AT is 2000 model with 38,000miles and reading your threads these seem to be the real trouble areas (better to be safe than sorry). The ferry to Bilboa is booked for April and two companions it tow one on a 2003 AT and one on a Bavarian Tractor GSmy AT experience begins.
Happy riding and welcome.
Stan the man.![]()
