    Smile Hello fellow XRV750 owner

    Hi,

I have recently purchased a 1998 XRV750 to use as my winter commuter bike. Really nice bike with plently of thump, just the trick to get me over the Pennines from Huddersfield to Manchester during the winter months.

As usual the bike came with a few "niggles" whichI hope to solve within a few weeks as I need to ride down to Heathrow on the bike. So I'll be reading all the old posts in the forums to see if anyone has already posted the problems.

The bike also came with a pair of hard side paniers which I don't want, so I'll subscribe and advertise them on this site.

    Cheers - Porky.

Hi Porky welcome to the site, great to hear your going to subscribe.

Piccies of your ride when you get a chance will mean I don't have to nag you in a couple of days

Porky, you've been here for over 10 minutes and there are still no piccies of your bike.

Talking Re: Hello fellow XRV750 owner

Sorry chaps, been searching through your forums for help on the 2 problems I have with my AT. What a super site, now have enough information to sort out my tickover / low rev problem and my trip meter not working. As a computer engineer, its nice to find detailed techinal
information on the electrics/electronics of the bike.
I don't have any pictures (yet) of my rides, because since my bikes are used as commuters they aren't glamous (or washed/polished).

I'll post information about the side paniers once I've subscribed.

    Cheers Porky.

    Hello and welcome.
The bikes do not have to be clean for the photo but must be photographed before the matron gets annoyed.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Hello and welcome Porky,

Just an advanced warning that us XRV lot are a mental bunch, you'll get used to it!

It doesn't matter if your bike is not clean, in fact, the dirtier the better, we like em dirty on this site!!!!!

All the best and welcome again.

    Adam.
