    Question Hello - new member!

    Hi guys and Gals,
First post today! I'm thinking of coming back to trail biking after a few years of having little time to spare. I have owned an XL500 and Kwaka KLR250 in the past. I now run a BMW 1150 GSA, but want to do some more green laning and am thinking to add an XR250 or 400 to the stable and want to find out more about things to look for etc. All suggestions gratefully received.

    Thanks,
    Tony

Hello and welcome to the forum.
The old XL500, was a bike I've always wanted to have.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Thanks for the welcome, guys. The XL500 was my first trail bike and was a well-used Italian import. It was a great looking bike but a real dog to start until you learned its foibles. Lovely to ride on the firm but hated mud! I realised after my first TRF meeting that it was not a novice bike - which is how I finished up with the KLR250.
The XL was sold for a little more than I paid for it to a chap who wanted a winter bike to spare his Harley!

    Cheers,
    Tony
