    XR Virgin

In the past I've had quite a few Yamaha XT's, but have been hearing a lot of good stuff about the XR650L. I rode my XT's from London to Australia and from the tip of Argentina to Miami. I'm after an XR650L to ride from London to Cape Town.

I already know I'm up against it buying one in the UK. Don't suppose anyone know if you can buy them in Europe new and or how much they are.

I'm still saving up so it'll be spring before I have enough to buy one, but I thought I'd lurk here in the mean time to see what I an learn.

I was looking at KTM Adventurers, but they get mixed reviews, where as the XR650L seems to get a whole lot of love.

    Iain.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Thanks for the info.

I had a look on Honda Italy and they have the XR650R & XR650SM, no sign of the XR650L, so I've posted a question on the XR thread. Perhaps the SM is the Italian L.

    iain.
