    DarrenC

Well i thought it time id say hi to all haven't posted as yet so here goes,
My names Darren C im living in london ( ooohhhhhhhhh) have been for ages, im currently riding a silver Transalp XL650V 2007 have it since end of 07 got it with 500 miles on clock used by honda so good deal........i had the 600 before that for about a year was in a bad way when i bought it so i did what i could and i part exchanged it for me 650 the honda dealer gave me next to nowt for it.............mmmmmmmm
when i bought me 650 i got honda hot grips panners top box and a 12v adapter installed under the seat..... i have installed a scotoiler messy but useful, also installed givi enginebars........im using oem tyres or trailwings since i had it, its gone through two and a half sets.......wanted to try scoprions from pirelli but couldent get em at the time...............bikes currently at 11200 miles or so....... i put the mileage on it by running from london to dorset alot when i went out for 7 months working farming holiday.........bike sufferd a bit as farmers pigs knocked it over a few times nothing major but a litle dent in me tank ( so he says ) and now i having a problem since me last self service, i managed to twist me swing arm so dident notice till after i took me back tyre of as i was under tention...... so after a bit of bending back tis a bit better but bikes balancing is horrid so im gona get a second hand swingarm from somewere ?????? new ones are dam exspensive...... that will teach me for overloading me poorly made loverly riding Tranny.......anyway im up for a chat and i will try to post a often as i can as im allways tinkering and playing..............................hahahahahahah aha

Hello and welcome to the forum.
The London contingent seems to be growing.

    Re: DarrenC

ok were to start basically after a my last self service i instantly devlpoed a problem with the bike wondering over to the right all the time after much much playing i found the swing arm was out of alignment so this led me to belive thats was me problem, ohhhh no that would have been to simple. after fitting new bushes and good secondhand swing arm from an 02 still had problem..................i then went through all i could wheel bearings yoke bearings cleaning break calapers but still its managed to illude me.........so the other day after me work i pulled the front end of thing maybe i put the steering bearings in badly nope that was fine.......... so i tryed a cunning idear i put it back together checked the wheel alighmnet and while doing this i noticed the wheels well one is at an odd angle...........bent frame i assumed again..............how o how o how............so i pulled the right side fork up slight as to bring the front wheel back to the center of the bike and behold it rides wonderfully again..............a bodged tempory fix.........so i got onto one of me breakers and orderd a second hand yoke bottom part this i hope has been my problem all along..................im hoping it will come tomorrow.......along with mor bearinings..............i will keep you posted....................o and yes the combination of my very heavy friend and on other ocasions of moving lost of tools around dident help.................so its not the frame after all ( i hope )
