just got a 1985 XL600LMF and thought i would join your forum. The purchase was due to my mate and a few beers in Turkey and a conversation which started as "wouldnt it be a crack to ride to here" and here i am. We have both got the same bikes, and are planning the trip to Turkey in June next year.

What i would like to know is, the type of mods that you guys have made to your bikes to imrove it and what to watch out for.

The first thing i need to sort is the brakes as they are are worse that my Vmax and thats saying something! what improvement can be made to front one. I have just ordered some grooved shoes for the back and a braided hose for the front but any advice would be great

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Why not completely overhaul the brakes with new seals pipes and pads in case one of them is fecked
