    Greetings from Athens

    Hi everybody,
This is Ilias from Athens Greece, and I'm a happy owner of an XRV750. I love that bike because it feels like a wild horse of which I have the full control(Believe me it's very useful in the driving conditions in Athens).
I hope that I can find information about Africa and exchange experiences with other happy Africans.
    Cheers ,Ilias

    Welcome to the forum., iligian.
You will find the Africa Twin very useful then.
Pictures of your bike will be required for us to drool over.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Hi iligian. Yes we like photos - some people here have difficulty reading and writing - but please don't make us too jealous of all that lovely Greek sunshine!

Thanks mate!Soon as I "rebuild" the bike,I'll post some pics.
By the way,my English is a little poor so, I hardly understand some expressions like "drool over" .Could you ,please ,explain it to me?

Hi Dee Duble Yuh, About photos I'll post some soon as I fix the bike (after 330.000km ,is not in the best condition it could be ).
I'll try to comfort you by telling you that I use to work under this sunshine and is not very "healthy" when the temperature is more than 35C(in the shade)with no wind and one more, the highest temperature I've ever count is 53C...Do you still feel jealous?

It's like when you see food and your mouth waters. You would "drool" at the sight of the food.

Agreed, although I like warm sunny weather that would be very uncomfortable. Sunny weather always seems more attractive when you live where the weather is changeable.

I saw your from South Wales and saw why you love the sun but I also think Wales is of the most beautiful lands on earth, which wouldn't be without the local climate conditions. To be honest,Greece is great for holidays, but not for living...unfortunately... Have you ever come ?
