Re: newbe from africa three day trip

Hi guys been busy so long time no type,i took 3 days off last week jumped on my bike and found a dirt road into Botswana. Was having so much fun carried on to Francistown, the road is long straight flat and hot, will have to look for more back roads next time.realizing that zim was close i carried on to Bulawayo,i loved zim, roads were great (main ones) no toll for motorbikes, the police were friendly, the only drawback is petrol either no power to pump or no unleaded and the transalp tank is just to small,i had to get 320 klm from a tank to make it to bietbridge, road slowly to make it, very slowly. Then back in S.A with a tank full of 95 did the rest on the N1 great through the mountain pass (soutpansberg) its a beautiful area, made me make noises to myself.Any advise on my fuel problem please help, is carrying 10lts in a can allowed.Other than the the fuel the bike was perfect i had a wonderful ride.

    Welcome to the forum.
I think the carrying of extra fuel is a great idea but as for the quantity, I think that would depend on what the local police think if they stop you.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
