    Back to Biking

Hi Boys and Girls, I have returned to biking after 20 odd years. I was actively looking for a bike since last summer with the thought of buying this year when the weather improved. The only bikes I was interested in was the "adventure" type, tall with an upright sitting position. I test rode several bikes including the Triumph Tiger, BMW F650GS etc. Looking at various forums most bikes seemed to have some sort of generic problem. This Transalp forum which I checked everyday confirmed to me that the new TA was hard to beat for its reliability, so with in mind I test rode a used Transalp 700 (09 PLate) late December 2009 and bought it straight after. The bike came with heated grips, centre stand, scott oiler and Honda topbox. As I start to ride the bike more I expect to come back for advice, though luckily searching through the forum I have found a couple of answers I needed.

    Welcome to the forum.
If you intend to use the forums picture gallery then YES you will need to subscribe, but for the tenner you get so much more.
You can use a hosting site like Photobucket or Flickr, then just add the link to your post.

Welcome to the forum. As you I have returned to biking after a long break and chose the TA700, after the test ride I just had to have one!!

Just wish it would warm up a bit so they stop putting salt on the roads and then I can get out on it again!

Out of date mate. It's £12. Still good value though.

I would agree with that. it is almost like having a yearly subscription to a very select magazine that is constantly updating, £1 per month, even MCN is dearer than that.
