hello my name is david im up in the north east, county durham , im picking my first a.t. up this weekend. have looked at this forum a couple of times before buying and found it helpful. im hopefully going to do some travelling,done europe a couple of times[ GSXR750, R1 ] acouple of ireland trips[ 955 tiger ] morrocco and sahara [110 defender ] with girlfriend and child. ive greenlaned for a good few years now,[ klx650, xr250, drz400, ktm300exc, wr450, ktm450 ]. im 6'5 and 23 stone, to fat to ride r1,s and ktm 2 strokes now and lost my bottle for 170 mph so am really looking forward to the africa twin, 2001 , 9000mls, standard no extras so will be looking at buying some panniers and some extras then hopefully some travelling.hope to get some good advice on insurance, parts , problems ,ride outs, cheers david.
