Thread: XR 250, 1 tooth extra sprocket?

Question XR 250, 1 tooth extra sprocket?

I have a year 2000 XR 250 which I mainly use on the road, I will explain later why.
I want to improve the mpg, I have purchased a new chain & sprockets, an extra tooth on the front sprocket, has any body done this? are there any pit falls to doing this?
I used to ride off road but I had a bit of an accident, that left me with the left side of my face being paralised, so I can't blink & get the dust out of one eye & it becomes very painfull!
