    New Varadero/AT member in Gloucester

Hi everyone, new member from Gloucester. I've got a 99 Varadero with lots of AT bits and other goodies and I'm looking to get my TKC80's off the tarmac where they belong. I did the BMW offroad Skills course few weeks ago. 2 days bumping around the Brecons on someone else's 1200GS was the best fun I've had in ages, met a great bunch of people too.

    Welcome to the forum.
Don't forget to post some pictures of your bike.

Hmmm, embedding photo's seems a bit tricky?
Maybe I'll just have to come to Rosedale and show you my bike

Yes you're right it has been seen in this forum before (a Twindero is born thread), I didn't buy it from Staffordshire motorcycles but from the guy that built it who used to work there. It's the first bike I've owned that actually fits me and I love it. (I'm 6'4")

So far I've fitted a bendy rear number plate from ebay £9.99, LED tail lamps and a touratech gear shift which I find works a lot better with size 13 MX boots. Oh, and a 12v socket for my Sat nav.

On the subject of Satnavs, I use a cheap £50 one from eBuyer that sticks very securely to the windscreen of both car and bike and has never fallen off. I've got Tomtom, Garmin and Memory map software on it as well as a comprehensive set of maps including Barbados for my upcoming holiday. I haven't used it in the rain yet but I think a polythene bag and rubber band should do the trick.
