Hi all,

I'm Sander, living in the south east of the Netherlands between the Belgium and German border. I've been lurking this forum for quite a while now, and decided to become a member.

In 2009 I got my bike license and the love for riding grew every day a little bit more. Currently my girlfriend and I enjoy riding my Suzuki V-strom DL650 (which I bought new) through Europe.

For Christmas she gave me the Aim For The Horizon DVD and it started the idea of (re) building an Africa Twin (?..RD07a..?) and make it "my own". That would be a whole lot more fun than running to my local dealer and buying a new €16.199,- KTM 990 Adventure R! (can't believe I just said that...) It worked for me in the past. I've rebuilt a 4x4 VW Golf MkII "Country" edition. Still love it for those slippery winter days! I'm not afraid to get greasy fingers and know how to work with a set of spanners and screwdrivers. The bike-rebuild is still an idea, but who knows! I've seen some "I-want-that-too" stunning bike pic's on this forum!

Greetings, Sander
