    insurance question

Hi, any one know if my bike insurance will go up as well if the missus(named driver on my car insurance) has hit someone from behind in the car and the other driver is claiming?

    Cheers

If YOU were not the driver then YOU did not have the accident.
It may be prudent to inform the insurers but I would not expect them to load you.
    BUT I COULD BE WRONG.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Re: insurance question

If the only claim being made is on the car insurance, it will have no impact on the no claims on your bike insurance.

(I spent the first 20 years of my working life working for insurance companies, and five of those in the motor claims department. I'm getting rusty, but I don't think this is likely to have changed.)

    Re: insurance question

I can only speak on behalf of Bikesure, but we would only take into consideration incidents that involved the riders on the bike policy. So, as long as partner is not also on your bike policy, it would have no influence.

    Cheers,
