    Dual bike policy

Any one know if you can get a 2 bike policy I was wondering if it would be cheaper, or should I keep them separate. I have just had the renewal for my XR through and low an behold its an overinflated quote!!
I can get TPF&T for 96 bucks which is pretty cheap or fully comp for 129. Have always been fully comp but dont know if its worth just gettin cheaper as the worst thing with off roaders is theft ?
The renewal quote was nearly £200, Im sure when I took it out it was about £120 so cheesed off as I thought as no claims incresed it becomes a bit cheaper How silly of me

    Re: Dual bike policy

Mine was a dual bike policy with the CRM and the AT on it last year. That was sorted out by MasterQuote who took over Mitchell and Partners. It just cost an admin charge to add the CRM to the policy but didn't put the renewal up at all. £200 seems a bit steep. Maybe they've seen you ride

    Couple of people to try:
    1) The Adrian Flux contact via the forum.
    2) MasterQuote 0800 032 2297 (been using them for a while - really competitive - for me anway)
XL650VY - TKC80's, Mivv Suono "silencer", Arrow Headers, PAIR system removed, 125 mains, Renthal 677 bars, MRA Vario Screen, Scottoiler, Honda Main Stand, Daytona Heated Grips, Sparkbright Charge Monitor

    Re: Dual bike policy

I always insured with Carole Nash because their quotes were always very competitive and I could have a multi-bike policy, with the security of a good company.

CN changed a bit I think because they sold out to Groupama (I'm told) however they still did a multi-bike policy but for the best possible price and policy, one bike had to be designated a "Classic". Not sure what the cut-off year is to be designated a classic, but the policy was obviously with Groupama.

I used my 1959 Lambretta as my classic vehicle, which is never used on the road and is SORN'ed with no MOT. This got me the policy which covers the Lambretta, 2x AT's, and 2x rather expensive sportsbikes, and it came in at £300 for the year. This includes all the bels and whistles along with Euro breakdown and recovery, which also covered Morocco!

I can't fault Carole Nash one bit, but then again, I've never had to actually make a claim against my own insurance (he says touching his wood!!)

Do your maths, but it might be worth finding out what year is designated a classic and buying a cheap old moped/scooter off eBay to qualify.
