Agreed Value Insurance Policy

Has anyone gone through the process of getting an agreed value on their bike for insurance? As my '98 @ is pretty immaculate I'm keen to insure it for something more than 'book price' (which is what I'd be lucky to get should I be unfortunate to launch it down the road or it got stolen).

Re: Agreed Value Insurance Policy

It's a very good point the way AT prices are currently, its got me thinking the same.

I've had agreed value policy with Carole Nash on my old BSA.

Just had to fill out a form and submit a picture, it was that simple.

Re: Agreed Value Insurance Policy

I've agreed value on a 2005 Harley and a 1975 VW bay camper but was unable to get it for my 2001@ or 2000 Tiger
I found out earlier this year how big a shower of b*****ds insurance companies can be when they offered me £1400 for my stolen MINT 98@
Fortunately I was in a position where I was in no rush for a payout, so I dug my heals in. After about 6 weeks I received the full value which I had placed on the bike at the time of insuring it-- £3000
Although it all worked out OK in the end, I would prefer agreed value as its a lot less hassle.

PS First dibs on your @ if you ever sell - I've always wanted a green one

Re: Agreed Value Insurance Policy

Footman James is one of the best fixed valuation insurers, they used to though require a garage inspection and pictures before agreeing to the value, not sure if that has changed..
