    Insurance for morocco.

Iam planning another trip to morocco later in the year. Last time I bought insurance at the border for about 100 euros. This time when my insurance renews I want cover for morocco on my UK policy. Anyone ever managed to get this? Last time I looked there was only one Dutch company who wanted about £300 for a minimum 3 months cover!!

    Any ideas.

It was a while ago (2006) but got it from Carol Nash + personal insurance if I remember correctly you don’t have to be insured with them you can just buy it separately (sorry if this info is out of date)

Aviva will issue a green card for morocco.

I had one for a month in October 09, think it was £20 extra.

    Austin,

My insurance is up for renewal soon and I am off to Morrocco as well.
I will be going to Carol Nash, but in doing so making sure I am covered by the company, Groupma.
I recently rang about the quote and was informed it would also cover recovery over there as well. I think it was just under £200, which I feel great value.

    Ditto as Rick says.

I went to Morocco a couple of years ago, and changed my existing Carole Nash policy to one with Groupama, who apparently consider Morocco as an extension of Europe.

I think, but not sure it also included recovery in Maroc as well (it certainly did for Europe) as long as you were on a real road.

I managed to also get Personal Accident Insurance with BUPA, which included emergency medivac and repatriation. The policy covered motorcycle usage, as long as you were wearing all protective clothing, and again, on a designated ROAD (i.e one shown on a map!)

I'm sure you know about it, but Auberge De Sud is highly recommended, romantic, reasonable, and stunning for the camera.

Have a great one, I'm very envious!

    Well I'm going too

As usual, leaving everything until the last minute but my insurance is up for renewal the end of this month and this is one of the items I shall be asking about.

We should have a party over there

She just told me to say that if Austin does plan a Morocco trip on the scale of his Piel Island success, she'll whip her top right off, and ride down there with us!!!
