    Definitely worth shopping around this year, with prices like that
    YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Funny I had the same thing with them last year. Phoned to tell them to lapse the policy and they reqouted. This time it was around the same as I paid the year before. Well worth shopping about. Swinton seem pretty good at the moment.

    Just phoned Aquote back they wouldn't budge on the price so won't be renewing with them. Phoned Bennets dropped the phone on them some of the stupid irrellevant questions they were asking. Devitt wouldn't quote me as can't proove the country the XR came from originally. Swinton the Computer system wouldn't quote the combination of bikes i have so they referred it back to the underwriter and have to get back to me. BIke insurer have quoted me £284.81 and motorcycles direct have quoted £290. Direct Choice multi bike specialist have quoted me £359.00 so maybe thery're not so special. H & R won't quote me either due to combination of bikes i have

    I was happy with Carole Nash until I went with Aquote the year before I left for Estonia.

    Perhaps give them a go...

    Does seem a ludicrously high increase...

    Last year with Aquote i paid around £195ish. Swinton have just phoned me back at £320 so they are a no go. Phoned Carole Nash who in the past have always given me stupidly high quotes are the cheapest at £270. Still got a couple waiting to come back to me so one way or another i will renew tomorow morning but not with Aquote

    Have you tried Bikesure, as they have a member on here?

    It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    So far:

    Footman james = £290.25 but someone is to call back to try and be competitive

    MCE = £246.20

    Be wiser insurance = £291.38

    Bikesure = £225.

    Looks like bikesure will get a call back in the morning excess is slightly higher at £250 than compared with MCE @£100

    Re: Aquote

    Phone Carole Nash back and get them to re-quote against the bikesure one.

    I did, saved myself a few quid, and got the excess lowered by £150.

    don't forget the freebees CN add as standard are worth a bit as well, I was able to cancel my RAC breakdown cover which saved me an extra £70 a year.

    Re: Aquote

    Thats pretty grim. Would it be worth trying to insure them on seperate policies? I know you will have one bike with zero no claims but it may be worth a try.
    Iv got a vfr800 as well as the varadero (both easy bikes to insure mind you). I worked out £11 cheaper to insure with a policy each from swinton than doing a multi bike!
    Couldnt quite get my head round this because of the zero no claims bonus on the varadero.
    Hope you get sorted for a decent price
    Cheers Allan
