Moving to Poland - insurance query

I may be moving to Poland (or elsewhere in Eastern Europe) in September - does anyone have any advice/ideas on what sort of insurance I can get or need out there.
My present insurance will cover me to get there, but runs out beginning of October (it allows me 60 days outside UK on one trip), so once there I would need a new insurance policy with an address in Poland!

You will have to buy it out there.

It is the same for polish drivers here. Their Polish policy is not valid long-term.

i am not sure about the Poland but in Lithuania you must re-register your bike to local numberplates if you are staying for longer than three months. Also will not be able to get insurance and mot on uk plates. Poland laws are very familiar, just more bureaucracy.

Anyway, in Eastern Europe the riding season usually ends in October (apart from a few last years with exceptionally warm winters), so you will not be able to ride all year round as in uk

hee hee, spent last winter in the yorkshire dales - there was NO chance of all year biking! I fully expect to have to hang up the helmet come october!
