Ahah, now we are three, but who's that twelve year old makin' off with your bike![]()
KLR600,another bike i like. not as good as a Honda of course! but i have always liked the look of them. they just look "right".
enjoy!
Nice choice.
I have three myself (ranging from running greenlaner to must get that engine back in).
But now I have bought the XR, it's time to fix them all up and sell on...
If you want any advice about setting up the KLR, let me know.
nice bikes Cold Snail, yeah klr's are the best!!
hopefully wont have any problems with Atilla, but i know who to ask if i do!
will.
If you're planning on greenlaning the KLR, there's a few things that you may need.
1. A pair of Pirelli MT21's running at 17psi (less if you have rimlocks), great tyres that gives good confidence on road or mud and still road legal, but the rear is only good for about 2000 miles.
2. A 500-550lb upgraded rear spring. I noticed the rear on your bike has a bit too much sag, you may be able the wind up the rear spring a little, but the spring is getting old now, a fresh one will make the world of difference (Demon Tweeks has them in stock).
3. Front fork springs aren't up to much, you can get progressive ones, but I've simply changed the oil and added 20 psi to each leg.
If your chain adjusters have allen key bolts, don't over tighten them otherwise they are a pain in theto undo.
