Re: GPz900R Rebuild

As with most plans it's been put on hold, The business needed workshop space longer than we thought and that gets the priority

New tyres time

Which is where Trusty Transalp comes in, ferrying wheels and tyres to and from the tyre-fitters in Mosta.

Re: GPz900R Rebuild

I always have major problems when it comes to tyres..

Mainly as although the bike is an A6 I do have an A7 rear wheel on it.. Means I have a fatter 150 than a 130 but it does make matching the front nearly impossible ever since they withdrew the Macadam 90

Wha ?

Macadam 90 ... ?

My excuse, I was out of circulation during most of the nineties.

2010, though ... Start as I mean to go on.

Re: Wha ?

Michelin did a radial called the Macadam90X that was not only in the original combonation but also the A7 combination. Fantastic tyres and used to well outlast the favourite BT45's. They withdrew the 90X range about 5 years back in favour of the 100X and the 50X that don't seem to do the 18 inch rims anymore

Totally off topic. This post has been viewed over 2,000 times!

Must be an interest there.

Re: GPz900R Rebuild

2,329 views to date.

That'd be because of the interest in the unbeatable combination of a Kymmy and a Gpz900r Kawasaki.

16" A1. Only ever had the original Japlops, then Metzlers, now Bridgestones.
9,800'ish miles on the last pair ... far more capable than I am.

Transalp transports to the tyre-fitters

Maltese motorcycle tyre-fitter, Stephen Cremona, at it, balancing the 900’s 16” front, whilst under the discerning scrutiny of we customers.

900. 30/12/09. Awaiting the return of the rims shod with the new tyres.

That is obviously the limited edition stealth variant.

Don't switch the lights off, you'll never find the bugger.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?
