KLE's got to go!

Well, third time out on the KLE and it's let me down again! Carbs cleaned out again and a second fuel filter fitted to the line and it started spluttering within a few miles.
When the bikes running well it's still not going to set the heather on fire, ye gods I've had more fun on an 80cc motocross bike! It also has a seat that would make an Africa twin seem comfortable!
I'm pushed for room now and with Fiona's BMW coming to join the Mighty Varadero beside the Landrover I feel it's time for me to let the KLE go. Unlike any other bike, (apart from a Z 650 I once had) I'll be glad to see the back of it!
Roll on the spring so I can get out on my Vara!

"...I think you're insane! A throwaway, disposable device and you're discussing wasting time mucking about with it and repairing it? Throw it away for god's sake and just buy a new one!"

Come on, your words, throw it in the landfill!!!!

Re: KLE's got to go!

Ha ha! Very smart! A battery charger compared to a Kawasaki? Well, in truth I'd rather have a charger than any Kawasaki but unfortunately I don't think it's landfill yet, at least it started and ran, more than Fiona's 06 BMW can say.
As for cross threading? Never, I'm a Scottish engineer

Re: KLE's got to go!

Good grief Sean, that's an expensive battery charger!

On saying that, less to go wrong, more reliable, better looking, more cost effective, ok,ok, the charger wins!

Due to a stuck float the airbox is full of petrol and it's running down the drive out the breather and the oil level's risen about 20mm so I presume the oil will need replaced as it's pretty thin now due to petrol contamination! Piece of junk! It's in the paper on Wednesday, hope it finds a new home! Oh I wish I'd bought a Honda! A Transalp would be nice,,,
