    Charitable Urine Extraction

Well the gauntlet has been laid down.

Jones and I are “friends” on facebook. He posted a video of a really old scooter, he had fixed or done summat along those lines, the conversation went as follows.. (cut & paste from facebook)

Ashleigh Turley at 20:14 on 03 July
Is that your new mode of transport for TLDXRV 2010

Owen Sawyer at 18:28 on 04 July
well it is abit like the pan ash, has a glove box, what do you recon

Ashleigh Turley at 17:12 on 05 July
I reckon I got £100.00 for the nominated charity if you turn up & do the run, on it !!!!

Owen Sawyer at 22:39 on 05 July
if you can get me £1000.00 i will do it

So everyone what do we think?, couple of quid of each forum member into next years nominated charity & we can have the big fella bearing the brunt of the cruellest urine extraction ever witnessed at a charity event.

Pledges on this thread please, payment will only have to be made if we break the £1000.00 pledge.

Just imagine the picture, Jones, he’s not the smallest guy on planet XRV, bimbling along on TLDXRV 2010 on a scooter, that’s got to be worth a couple of quid of anyone's money.

I’ll start the pledging with the £100.00 I bet him, so we are 10% there already.

So come on everyone please get pledging.

    Ash

After thought / EDIT / copy & paste of post No 19

Well this is going far better than expected, but then again it is planet XRV & the inhabitants are a great bunch & wouldn’t miss up on a chance to do something charitable. The fact that Jones will have do TLDXRV 2010*** on a scooter is just a bonus, a very big bonus admittedly, but a bonus.

I’ve just been out to empty the dog, & had a thought we have already raised a potential £240.00 (bear in mind they are pledges, not donations, people will only have to cough up if we pass the magical £1000.00 barrier).

So we still have £760.00 to go in 11 months, which is just under £2.50 a day, so seeing as I started this thread, I’m going to make a rule.

IF YOU POST ON THIS THREAD, IT WILL BE TAKEN AS A £2.50 PLEDGE, TO PLANET XRVS CHOSEN CHARITY ###:

Naturally you can pledge more & we would welcome it. Once you have pledged your £2.50 you can post as many times as you like.

    Comments please……

    Re: Charitable Urine Extraction

I'm toying with the idea of getting our lass to enter on a 125

will be much much tougher and might have to set off before anyone else to get to the ferry port in time but it will make it more of a challenge trying to shepherd her over there on a smaller much slower machine.....

if there are other smaller capacity bikes entered so much the better

put me down for £20 also

well next years challenge seems like a step backwards from this years route so by introducing handicaps it may make it more challenging and more sponsorable.....

    Re: Charitable Urine Extraction

So the pledging stands at £140.00 to see Jones doing TLDXRV 2010 on a old Scooter.

My son would love to take part on his Honda NSR 125, so once we have raised a grand in pledges, I’ll tell him he can join in, he’ll be Ok at the back with Jones as a smaller bike / scooter sweeper!!!

Thanks DC, Derek & Sean, £160.00 pledged in an hour or so,

    Leaves us with £840.00 to raise in over 11 months i.e. A £2.60 pledge a day…
