Just a heads up lads. When heading west on the R559 from Dingle there is a lovely hairpin bend between Fahan and Glenfahan. Its on a cliff top road with great views of the sea below. CAUTION needed here. There is a ford on the bend. Yes boys and girls a river/stream running across the road and it wasn't signposted the last time I went.
Enjoy the trip. I might get down to meet you.

Now then, Mr. dogstar, you may be just the man we need for local knowledge. And if you could be persuaded to do a little local research to assist in the smooth running of the ride a beer or seven would not be out of the question...

Are you far from the Ring of Kerry?

Sounds like a great place to sit a 'crash' camera if anyone fancies taking a video cam and a few lights. Few stills for next years calendar too maybe?
TA700 2010 - Givi full set, Centre Stand, Scotoiller with LubeTube, Honda Tall Screen, Givi Crashbars, OEM Heated Grips, Fenda Extenda, Bar Risers, SSteel Spokes, Arrow Race-Tech DarkLine Exhaust, even bigger smile!!

TLD 2010 - 600 miles, 18 hours travelling, 4 hours sleep and no pint of guinness!! Must go back for that....

I split my time between Dublin and Cork at the moment but used to live in Killarney and traveled the area quite a bit, (including a 4 day horse trek around "The Ring". I still get down there quite often and will of course help in any way I can. I'm on another forum here so can source info from locals.
So fire away with the questions and I'll do my best to assist.

Lol, I think I know this one. I very nearly came a cropper the first time I came across it last summer, as I had thought there was tarmac under the water, not incredibly slippery stones, and went hockeying into it. But a few months later they'd managed to put some concrete down so it wasn't as bad.

Then again, what with the way the roads have disintegrated over the winter mebbe caution would be needed again.

Good man! Nothing will happen instantly as the Quartermaster has gone abroad (to England?!?!) for a few days for work, but we may be in touch...
