    GPS Route

    All,

Because I'm using an older Garmin and it won't accept more than 2000 bits of a route I currently going through the process of creating the route manually using waypoints to keep it on the right road.

I've finished the UK side now so if anyone wants a copy of the GPX data you're more than welcome.

Just don't hold responsible if you end up off route, on the plus side you'll have a buddy, because I'll be there too.

    You can get them here.

    http://www.lifes-adventures.co.uk/la...gpx/TLDIRE.GPX

Right click and save otherwise you'll just get a text output of the file.

If anyone spots any issues with it let me know.

    Re: GPS Route

It should be exactly the same route as displayed on the TLD website. I've used waypoints to force the GPS to navigate the intended route rather that make it up as is goes along.

The Irisih leg on the website would be almost impossible to complete in time, as you would need to average 50+ MPH, the roadbook has different route

    Re: GPS Route

I've just had a look at the road book and it is a different route. I might just see if the first route is possible or not. I likes a challenge.

    Re: GPS Route

I use a Tom Tom rather than Garmin, so it's no good to me I'm afriad.

I'm looking to join the ride for the first hour or so (being as I live so close to Lowestoft). Where can I get an idea of the route you're all taking, please?

    Thanks
