    Excellent James,
    I was kinda looking forward to your description of when we phoned your Sister from the roadside.
    I'm not as good as James but the story goes along the lines of;
    James had pulled over and stopped we were on the outskirts of a town with no real reason to stop so I was a bit confused, I pulled in to find out what was wrong. "We're in Dungarvin this is where my sister lives do you fancy a night here", we only had 50 odd mile to do and a nights kip was needed. James reached for his phone and then with too many four letter words explained he was out of credit, no problem says I, use mine what's the number. I tapped the number in and handed the phone to James, my Satnav shouted back "hello who's there" we were in range of the bluetooth and all calls were going through the nav, I took it off the cradle, " there's the mic, there's the speaker" and James continued to shout at the box in his hand.
    James is trying to get the address, talking to his sister via satnav whilst I wait for instructions, his sister wanted to direct us to where they live and James' patience was running out "Just give me the *****address, the address, what ************ street" after getting the required info the address was tapped into the navvy, we made a U-turn and headed off through the residential areas that reminded me of my time in Dublin. We did not have that far to go, but it was residential with speed bumps, roundabouts and bends, so I was really amazed when we pulled up outside his sisters to find both our phones still laying on the top of my pannier.

    Luck o' the Irish

    James, next time could you put a bit of oomph in the story, it was lacking detail m8 and i found it extremely boooring

    Actually, i meant to read just a few paragraphs and continue later on and just read all the way through, cracking write up.

    I was not in work on this event, I was on my days off having some fun. So in regards to tolerant to information, this is about my Sister. So yeah I recognise that dear Sue is going to want to have a 20 min conversation about what roads I should take. I'm in Ireland on someone else's phone, that is a German phone, thus rather expensive. So I'm not about to have a long chat when all I need is the street address. All this in light of the fact that I know my family very well of course and the only thing that is going to break the conversation is me screaming down the phone like a Banshee.

    In work, I'm being paid to be a professional. To try and make people's lives a bit safer as best I can. To serve the community where I work in a polite, professional and respectful way. As should be expected of any professional anywhere. So please do not confuse the two

    Hey, didn't mean any offence, james, I really enjoyed reading your write up. I just laughed at PD's joke which I also took to be meant in good spirit. It's what I like about the forum, everyone having a good laugh, but it's not meant at anyone's expense. Fully understand the difference between work and play, I'm sure that my work and private life can be at odds at times and I like to keep them separate too. So please don't take my comments the wrong way - it's all good here . Ride on in safety and in pleasure .
