    Where to Stay?

    Hi Everyone,

I'm wondering what everyone else is planning for the night of the 20th?
I'v just emailed the campsite at JOG to see if they can fit me in.
I'v seen the bunkhouse thread, but that's in Hexam which is a way away and seems to be booked for the thursday night which leaves friday unaccounted for!

The Friday night is going to be my first chance to meet up with anyone (as I'm in work on Thursday) and would like to get to see faces/bikes before setting off at 4am on the saturday.

If I'v missed an existing thread then please let me know, otherwise what's everyone doing??

I figure I'll naturally fall into a group from the off as I have an inconsistant riding style that varies between 100+ blasts and the natural fear of a police car following just far enough away to stop me for doing over 80mph.
So somewhere around that I'll end up riding with someone or some group which pretty much matches my desire to finish and my lack of natural ability?

(I'd love to finish in less than 13 Hours though!)

    Anyway,

Whats the plan for Friday night?

    Re: Where to Stay?

    Ok now
We are staying at the bunk place on our way up to JOG on Thursday night. We than go on and most of us are booked into the Hotel at JOG.Drop Alpslapper a pm and ask for the phone number of the place as i can not find it at the moment. You might find its fully booked but if you keep ringing them ,i reckon you will still get in as people(none of us)cancel from time to time.
Pretty much the same apply s to L'end, ask alpslapper for their number as well.
No plan for Friday night at all as i think most will try not to drink too much and go to bed early. But that shall not stop us to take lots of pictures, chat and have a good time
They call him "Ze Quiet one"
I listen to what the rice crispies tell me to do

Yeah, I have arranged for the Enterprise to beam me up as soon as the other 40 of you are not looking. And quick once round the bridge with Uhura and I'll be at Land's End with a big smile on my face waiting for you.

    Dream on.

If you only stopped to get fuel this would probably use at least an hour. Meaning you would have to average nearly 70mph and I don't think you'll be able to do this. Don't forget that Scotland and Cornwall are all A roads.

Riding too fast can be more tiring than riding at a lower speed.

Just take your time and enjoy the ride, that's what everyone else is doing

As for accommodation on Friday we are staying at the Seaview Hotel at John O'Groats and on Saturday at the Lands End Hotel. As Lord Vader said, send a pm to alpslapper and he'll give you all the details.

Most of us decided on using hotels as we will all be very tired and the added weight of taking camping equipment would use more fuel and slow us down somewhat.
